Roxie and Barry is loud in the good way — an open kitchen at the back, tiled floors that carry sound, and a playlist just under the volume where you'd have to lean in. The room is the strongest thing Goblr has reviewed all year: warm bulbs, arched booths, and a bar that people actually sit at. Our server noticed we were sharing everything and brought extra plates before being asked.
Prawns Chettinad with Baby Buns
4.2Six prawns, split and still curled, sitting in a dark Chettinad masala thick enough to hold the spoon upright. They were pulled off the heat at exactly the right second — snapping, not rubbery. The heat builds slowly through black pepper and fennel rather than hitting up front, and the baby buns are there for the specific job of mopping the gravy, which they do well enough that we asked for two more. At ₹680 it's the priciest thing we ordered here and the only one I'd order again immediately.
