A narrow room, bright overhead lighting, laminated menus and a counter you order at if the tables are full — Nasi and Mee is a canteen with better cooking than it advertises. Food came out in eleven minutes. Nobody hovered, nobody upsold, and the bill for two came in under ₹900. The trade-off is that there's no atmosphere to speak of: you eat, you're happy, you leave.
N&M Nasi Goreng Mix
3.6A proper mixed plate: fried rice under a folded omelette, satay skewers on one side, prawn crackers stuck in at an angle and a fried egg on top with a crisp lacy edge. The rice has real wok colour and separate grains, which means someone is cooking in small batches. The satay is the weak link — dry chicken, peanut sauce heavy on sugar. Break the yolk over the rice and the whole plate improves by a grade, and at this price nobody's arguing.
