Alto Vino

Whitefield, Bangalore

Last reviewed: October 2025

Great for:Fine Dining

Alto Vino sits high enough that the Whitefield traffic turns into a hum you stop noticing by the second course. Tables are spaced far apart, the lighting is low without being theatrical, and a server topped up water four times without ever interrupting a sentence. It is quiet in the way a hotel restaurant is quiet — capable, a little impersonal, and priced as though the view is part of the order.

Margherita Pizza
Signature Dish

Margherita Pizza

3.0

Twelve inches, blistered edge, mozzarella laid in torn pieces rather than shredded — it arrives looking exactly like the photograph on the menu. The crust holds up in the hand, which most Bangalore Margheritas don't. What it never does is arrive at a flavour. The tomato is sweet but under-salted, the basil goes on after the bake so it wilts rather than perfumes, and by the third slice I was reaching for the chilli oil, which at ₹900 a pizza is a small defeat.

Would I Return?

Yes

Yes — but for a drink and the burrata, not a full dinner. The kitchen doesn't justify the bill on its own.
